92-95 honda civic ex 1.6L vtec won't start! New battery, new main relay. Still no start. As you notice the engine would crank but won't start up. Also the dash lights aren't lighting up either. Well gents, any suggestions or help greatly appreciated.
IM NOT a mechanic but go ahead check your fuse box for blown fuses and replace your fuel filter and checkout that distributior replace it . make sure your spark plugs are new and they are firing
Did you get the key switch checked out ? The dash indicator lights have to be on for the engine to start. So you are not getting power to the dash lights, and probably not to the computer or ignition coil either.
Not yet. Is there a way I may check it myself at home by any chance? Yeah I've noticed the dash lights aren't on so I was pretty sure it was an electrical issue. Just wasn't sure where the source was

If you have a wiring diagram or can find one online you may be able to check it yourself. When you turn the key switch to the on position, most of the components get power other than things like headlights. So you either check the fuses for the gauges and coil for power, or start at the key switch and work your way to the fuse box.
There are some fuses that are hot with the key off, and most everything else is hot with the key on.
Cool awesome. Thanks buddy
maybe your timing belt jump or broken

check your fuel pump or your relay that controls the fuel pump if it turns over but cranks and cranks it's possible you aren't receiving gas . When you turn the key on you should hear the fuel pump pressurise if not i would check it first.

Unfortunately you probably need a new distributor. There are three pick-up coils mounted down inside the base of it. They go bad quite commonly. The unfortunate part is; the new distributor will come with a new cap, rotor, coil and module...which you have already bought. The distributors are not that expensive though, maybe you can sell the extra parts???

I would have the ignition switch checked, not the key switch but whats behind the key switch. Ignition Switch!
