Installing an aftermarket CD player.

I am installing an aftermarket CD player in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I was trying to find the wiring diagram for this model. So that I would know which wires to connect, so that they would connect to the correct speakers etc. Thanks for any help!!!!

Go to a stereo sales & installation shop, or even auto parts places usually have them now too, and get an adapter harness for your particular vehicle. They plug directly in to your existing harness, then you simply wire your new stereo to it,via directions. Few bucks now, will save hours of aggravation later,.and if you decide to sell vehicle later, and put old one back in, it's all there to plug back in, nice & clean.

Replace the stereo in the Jeep.
Aftermarket or factory your choice.
There is no way to self resolve this problem...
And any junk yard stereo you buy will need an activation code. Just buy a good Pioneer or Kenwood stereo and install it. Problem solved. No more BS

I tried to install an aftermarket stereo in my 2005 jeep grand cherokee but it didnt work because i had the wrong wiring harness. but when i tried to put the factory stereo back in it wouldnt work either....

Check that the yellow and the red wires have power while accessories is on, using a test light or multimeter. If they both have power, check earth connection.

How do I remove the radio on a 2005 grand cherokee?

If its not responding at all, you will have to remove the unit and take it apart until you can remove the disc's by hand. You can either put it back together and just use the radio or replace it with oem or aftermarket deck.

Replace stock cd player from one brand of car to another.

Check at stereo sales/install place, or most auto parts stores have them now, and ask for adapter for wiring & plate for mounting in what ever vehicle you decide. It makes things a lot neater, & easier. Take player in with you to make sure, mounting plate is correct.
