I never had this noise on acceleration until I had to have my gear shift replaced (4 on the floor I think you call it). Could not get my key out of the ignition. Now I hear this whining sound when I accelerate. Also where is the cap to put in power steering fluid on this 2001 buick regal. Seems there is a problem with the lights on the dash and now my gas light shows empty and makes four bings even after I fill it up. My husband says no problem. I hate not knowing how much gas I have in it and that my low fluid light is always on. What can I do besides changing ???? husbands?
