2006 chevy equinox keyless remote programming

I have a remote for the 2006 chevy equinox keyless remote that needs programming

    Damn dealers get you for top $ to program remote. I hit the button that make the horn honk over and over and I started it up while the horn was honking and the remotes would not work no more

    I have Sierra 2006 4800 CAB one, there is a central locking but without Remote I bought the remote VIN number on my car from the agent, and programming done correctly But in the last step programming is not saved!!! Do I have to replace the existing receiver in my car receiver located in the Z71 What is the part number of your device, and where his place in the car in order to change it myself

From the service manual:
There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. Please go to the nearest GM dealer for assistance

How do u program my new keyless remote for 2006 chevy uplander
Unfortunately, you'll need to contact your dealer for programming. There is no onboard programming procedure for this vehicle. This vehicle requires special equipment to be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. You will need to bring ALL remotes that currently work with and those you wish to add to use with vehicle when you go to the dealer. This vehicle supports up to (4) remotes only. Call around, as prices range from $40 to $120.

Program fob
Instructions to program a keyless entry remote for a Chevy Silverado. They also work on 2003, 2004 and 2006 Suburbans.
  1. Close all the vehicle doors.
  2. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder.
  3. Press and hold the DOOR unlock switch.
  4. While holding the DOOR lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF.
  5. Release the DOOR unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode.
  6. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one keyless remote. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter.
  7. Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters.
  8. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN (one more click forward) position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode.
  9. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation

Hiya...the factory-installed keyless remote control are installed in most Equinoxes IF SO equipped with this option that year.
However, it's difficult to get "true factory-installed" keyless feature in your Equinox ....but new 2008-2009 Equinoxes built this year now comes with standard keyless remote and yes, new option is remote STARTER feature (that option is identified by a black wire found inside the rear-right quarter window with thin metal line surrounding that interior window to receive signal from remote starter fob)

At least you can find after-market keyless remote control at your local retail store.
