Fuse is marked "ASC" 10A Speed Control (passenger compartment fuse box), most likely this will not be the problem, and if th fuse blew then there is a short and it won't work, the most common cause is the cruise control switch circuit.

The Roadside Emergencies chapter covers all the fuses and fusebox layout

The cruise control is powered by a red 10A (ASC - Automatic Speed Control) fuse in the inside passenger compartment fuse panel on the drivers side under dash.
3rd row (4th from the top).

It is described on p.119 of the manual

Where would I find the fuse for the cruise control in a 2001 ford escape

Not certain if this will help. The 1st supplied diagram lists the fuse in the box within the passenger cabin. As you can see, none are listed for a cruise control module. The 2nd supplied from automotorpad.com in the Ford Cruise Control Module #4 diagram, has an arrow pointed to a Fuse Holder but I see no identifier on the page for the year of the vehicle. Then there is an unsettling article from ItStillRuns. https://fuse-box.info/ford/ford-escape-2001-2004-fuses-and-relay

MY 2002 FORD ESCORT'S CRUISE CONTROL AND HORN SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. THE FUSES ALL CHECK OUT. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

there is two sets of fuses on this car i think. The centre console lights are on fuses inside the car under the dash, is your interior light not working either?

The cruise control on my 2001 just quit working i have checked the fuses and all are ok while driving i can engage the criuse control and the cruise light comes on for an instant almost like a flash any...

A vehicle speed sensor provides a signal for the cruise control and also for the ABS braking and the overdrive function. I would start with finding the fuse for the cruise control in your owners manual. Also some cruise controls have vacuum lines attached, if so, check for cracked or broken vacuum lines. Good luck.

2005 FORD MUSTANG . CRUISE CONTROL QUIT WORKING

check switches for cruise control, and the electric motor for 'pulling' the cable for cruise control for the throttle body. Check fuse for cruise.

That's all I can think of for, now.

Cruise control stopped working. What do I need to do to troubleshoot it correctly?

first of all did you check the fuse! if ok check the cable from throttle body to speed control or cruise. on a few ford products before 2005 have a recall for the cruise control. call ford dealership to find out.

MY CRUISE CONTROL AND THE CAR CHARGER WON'T WORK. COULD IT BE FUSES?

the best way of checking the fuses is look at the diagram on the fuse panel door see what runs on that fuse for the cruise and charger then run that item i.e cruise and heater may run on the same circuit so in that case the cruise don't work then try the heater if it works then its not the fuse if it don't then its pry the fuse or you can get a cheap 12 volt test light and test to see if you are getting power to the accesory if not then then there is another problem.

Cruise control

ok, there are two issues. one could be a fuse that you can exchange out with a working one. secondly, this could be a sensor that is connected to the cruise control assembly under the hood. i would pop the hood to see if the cruse control assembly has became stuck or the cable may have been severed as well.
