SOURCE: Radio code for 1997 saab 900s

I'm afraid if you don't have the code, you will have to take it to a local dealer or specialist radio store to have it re-coded.

Fortunately, it's not expensive.

SOURCE: 1997 saab 900S airbag worning light on

There are lots of sensors in your car that tell the Airbag Module that you are in the seat.
The seatbelts also have sensors in them and are known for going bad. Run down to your local autozone and they will have something to hook up to it to find the code that the Airbag set. That will lead you in the dirrection you need to look in. (Important) YOUR AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY WHILE THE LIGHT IS ON IF YOU ARE IN A ACCIDENT

My 93 saab 900s only has third and fourth gears.

I know exactly what happened. Look at the shifter linkage at the transmission. It's under the hood, close to the firewall, directly forward of the shifter knob. There's a black plastic bushing or connecting piece which broke and became separated from a 5-6mm diameter steel rod. You will see it clearly if you look under the hood while someone else moves the shifter knob around from inside the car. Buy a small metal hose clamp (~1 inch diameter or less, coolant hose clamp, same size as the clamp on the coolant reservoir). Slide it over the steel rod, push the rod back into the broken plastic piece firmly, and slide the clamp over the broken plastic part, and tighten it up. You should have all 5 gears back. It happened to my 1997 900SE, and this improvised repair has been holding up fine for two years now. Good Luck.

How to enter the radio code in 1995 saab 900s.

When you start the car the display should ask you for the code....Code In.....you should be able to simply enter the code and the radio should come back on. If 'Code In' does not display when you turn on the radio press and hold the 'band' button and 'code in' should come up on the screen.....let me know if that helps....if not I will go out and re-do mine on my 1997 Saab 900S to double check.....good luck

I have a stick shift car. the shifter came loose today. i took apart the console, and found where the shifter attached to a rod that lets it change gears. but, i can't figure out how to reattach it. it...

What you speak of is called a hiem joint. There has to be a sleeve or ring still on the trans rod the holds the ball in the socket. Look on the shift rod and see is it still there. If yes, pop the ball back in the socket and the ring back in on the ball, Find out what holds the ring in against the ball and fix that.

I just installed a clutch in my 96 saab 900s 5speed transmssion with a 2.3 l nonturbo and also a clutch cable and now I cant get it to go into reverse or 5th gear . Anyone have a clue ?

Loosen shift coupler where you disconnected from rod.Remove shift boot at front there is a hole put an allen or dowell in it to lock the shifter on trans side where shift rod exits tranny theres another hole for a pin. Line these up and tighten coupler and that should do it.

Transmishion wont go int park

there is a plastic rod under the t handle shifter
with five little balls, if you pull the handle up, you should see the white plastic rod pull it out and if there are only 4 balls on the rod then it is broken, you can use a piece of wood (like a chopstick) that will fit, cut to length and you should now be able to **** in to park and 1st

Replacing ignition switch on Saab 1996 900s 2.3 I 5 speed

You take all the center console and plastic ducts from between the seats. There are 4 10mm bolts holding the shifter mechanism to the floor. Take these off and do your best to flip the whole housing to where you can access the bottom side. The ignition switch is attached under there. As I recall there are 2 T20 screws holding it on.
