Did the trans come with the proper fluid(recommended by Chrysler) and level. was the whole system flushed? Reused sensors could be an issue if one or more is faulty.
Testimonial: "yes the warranty would not have covered the swap if the had not used the proper trans fluid, which I believe was atf4, but I did notice today that when you first use it for the day that it shifts really smooth until it hits normal operating temp, thasts when the hard shifting starts. the shop (which is a national chain) says all sensors are good, but the one in the front is the original sensor and since this is the second brand new tranny do you think I should swap the the front one,? or does that operating temp give you any ideas. I"ve read others say the had the computer updated and the problem went awa for a while only to return. thanks much for your input no one semms to know how to solve this not even dodge."

Dave, The P0700 code is a generic fault code indicating the the TCM (transmission control module) has recognized a problem and the P0755 is the indicated problem. I'd recommend you check your transmission external electrical connector for water intrusion and corrosion at the terminals by disconnecting the connector. If nothing appears wrong, I'd then recommend you drop the lower transmission pan and take a look at the residue deposit that is laying on the bottom of the pan. You should only see a relativily minor amount of grayish, black clutch material residing there. Pay particular attention for a gross amount of this or any large particular material, including any metal, either filings or chunks, or any brass or aluminum. If this checks out to be fairly clean, then I'd recommend you replace that "B" solenoid (2-3 shift solenoid) and have the trans. pan and filter replaced.; I'd also highly recommend you have the trans flushed for anyother particular matter that may reside internally inside the transmission. You'll have to have the codes cleared and the transmission relearned for shift feel, at that point.

Here are a couple of things you can try for free if you are mechanically inclined, if you are unsure don't do this yourself.
i can't think of the exact wording for 1787 but is either shift control or torque lock up.
1)If this is the first time you have had a scanner on it since the new tranny was put in, this code could have been set when it did not shift that day, it will stay in the memory until cleared manually, if it only happened once,it could be why it did not set the check engine light.
2) Now you are going to have to get dirty,Dodge is known for having leaky connections on the tranny thus allowing fluid to get into them from the inside. Get yourself a pair of safety glasses with side sheilds, a small can of aerosol brake clean, and a can of compressed air (the kind you clean computers with) and a tube of di-electric grease.
Do this one connector at a time,PUT ON SAFETY GLASSES,disconnect then spray a little air in them to remove fluid then spray a little brake clean on them do not soak them then spray air to dry, repeat this 2 or 3 times apply a liberal amount of di-electric grease re connect
You can save yourself some money by doing this yourself or have a friend do this for you
If you want to erase the code, disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 minutes, do this while you are cleaning the connectors,
If the code comes back up,it ia probably internal
Hope this helps

Code 0753 means Transmission 3-4 shift solenoid or transmission relay circuit problem. The PCM (engine computer) is seeing an incorrect input electrically for the gear or speed it should be seeing. You will need to find a qualified transmission shop to diagnose the problem. Possible causes for the trouble code start with worn/dirty fluid, electrical repairs & transmission overhaul.

Hi,
Here is some possible reasons why your transmission is having those problems .
* The gear shift linkage is binding
* There is an internal problem in the transmission
* The throttle cable is broken or disconnected
* The vacuum modulator on the transmission is faulty or the vacuum line is damaged
* The electronic transmission control circuit may be faulty
