The instrument panel fuse panel is underneath the instrument panel on the left side. To open it, reach under the instrument panel and push the release button to the right of the fuse panel.

I have shorted out the electrical system in a 1998 mercury mystique. I still have somethings like the horn, headlights and dashlights but not the power locks, windows, brake lights, signal lights etc. \it...

Check all of the fuses located in the black box under the hood close to the battery on top of the inner fender. All power to the car begins there. Check for large fuses 30 amp to 60 amp. Make sure the heater fan is left unplugged. When working on components under the dash always disconnect the ground cable from the battery

My radio isnt working in my 2000 mercury mystique. Where would i find the radio fuse? I checked all the fuses. I dont have a diagram or the front panel of the fuse box

You can find your fuse/relay locations by going to www.flmowner.com , type in the year make and model of your vehicle. Click on find my vehicle. Click on owner guide 1st edition. The diagrams you need are on pages 147-48. I hope this is helpful.

1998 Mystique brake lights don't work while the window brake light does work.

Try a continuity test, not sure where to find the electrical scheme but if you obtain it, use a tester or borrow one to test the continuity of the wires of both taillights, could be simple as a cut wire.

Ground wire for 1996 Mercury Mystique is unplugged

in all sun roofs on most vehicles there is a motor that operates the unit. now green wire can indicate a ground, however they can also indicate a power source like for a tail light green is used for the right turn signal circuit. to be sure use a test probe to check for voltage to that wire if it lights up it's a constant current circuit. if the light doesn't come on turn the ignition and check once more. if the light comes on than it's an auxillary circuit. if there is no fuse then there might be a relay for your sun roof circuit. check the power distribution box. your owners manual will show you exactly where that relay is located in the box under the hood. in most newer vehicles they do not use fuses for electric motors for functions in the car but a relay to protect the circuit. check all this first before connecting that green wire. if ther problem still persists then contact me again and i will help with other possiblities

Blinkers are not working on 97 Mercury Mystique

It should be under each fuse what its for, if not if there is a cover for fuse box under cover there will be a list what each fuse is for. if you don't have that than you can use a test light with key on and test each one untill you come across one that don't light and that will be it, or you can pull them out one at a time untill you find the one thats burnt.
