My ignition light won't turn off when I shut the truck off. Usually it goes out 20 secs or so after the door is shut. Stranger still, when I put the keys in the ignition, the alert bell goes off even when the door is shut. This has happened on the rare occasion about a year ago, but now it does it all the time, even when the battery is fully charged (well, I think it's fully charged). Consequently, this is slowly killing my battery and I have to unplug the battery, which is getting to be a hassle. I'm not driving as much as I used to and wondering if my battery is not getting fully charged anymore -is this a warning mechanism to tell me my battery is getting low or is something weird going on? I just moved from a dry climate to a coastal environment and thinking the humidity is playing games with my electrical.

does the check engine flash while driving, a quick test, cause I suspect the coil pack, when dark open the hood start the truck and with a water bottle spray the coil pack if you see sparks replace it, change many of those here ....

Take throttle body off, clean Throttle Body with Carburator cleaner. I had same problem and its the ethynol in fuel that creates a build up in the throttle body which creates this problem. I did what a friend of mine said to do (service manager at Dodge Dealership) it hasnt happened again.

Remove positive battery terminal from battery & put a 12 volt test light in line between cable & battery post. As long as 12 volt light is illuminated, you have a draw. Start pulling & re-installing fuses, one at a time, until you see it dim or go out. If it goes out, you found your draw. If it dims, slight draw, such as radio memory etc. if all else fails, make sure you know where they all go, then pull them all, and start putting back one at a time. When light comes on bright, you found the circuit causing the draw.

Well, you can try unplugging the battery for a few minutes and also cycling the key back and forth in the ignition to try and reset the car alarm. I'm thinking that it may need to be jump started though too if the battery is low, as it may not be turning over fast enough. Let me know how this works out for you and what worked and didn't work.
