it is like a squeking noise when turning the steering on either side, can't find a better way to describe it., but it makes a funny sound when turning the wheel. I was in a repair shop this morning, the mechanic is not sure what causes this

Thank you for answering. I went to a repair shop yesterday and the mechanic said that the problem is the top plates. Anyone agrees with this?

The only thing that will cause this noise is a worn out or dry running (caused by torn or damaged grease boot) Constand Velocity Joint or CV joint for short. this part is on the front dive axles just behind the wheel.

When i turn the wheel too far to the left or right the car makes a strange noise. when i brake period the car makes a strange noise. when i am doing 45 mph and up when i start to brake the car starts to...

Well, short of hurting your feelings.

When you brake you hear a strange noise. The sounds brakes may make, should be something you are familair with.

When doing 45 mph plus, the car starts to shake. Now tell me, youv'e not experienced this many times in your life!

Turning left or right could be a worn steering rack, mostly because you never change power steering fluid,or upper strut bearings or any other suspension parts starting to wear. Or, it's just you noticing different sounds, than when it was new.

When you turn the wheel too far to either side, you hear the power steering pump squealing and telling you to stop. Another bad practice.

Now I would conclude, that you need to strip all four brakes off the vehicle and completely go through some sort of brake repair or service. I hope you already figured that.

Squeaking/grinding noise when turning the wheel

Are the front brake pads ok? Some have squeal indicators, it is a tin plate that touches the disc (without damaging) to warn you that the brakes are worn. On the initial stages it will happen more so on slow cornering but will quickly get louder over a matter of days.
Check the pads for thickness, should be min 6mm

1997 buick lesabre steering locks up & can't turn left & whining

very possible that the pump has failed (seized ) internally so get it checked out at an accredited power steering specialist shop
if it does not produce pressure then the steering will lock or be extremely heavy to turn

Squeaking sound from shock absorbers

ball joints won't squeak like that; they make a popping noise when they're bad. it is very common for shocks to get water in them and start squeaking, and it's usually a horrible screeching squeak. The only way to get rid of the squeak is to change out the shocks. Hope this helped.

1997 Buick LeSabre has squeak noise coming from right front.

More likely this is a wheel bearing or CV joint than suspension components.

One good indication is if, when your making a right turn or accelerating, there is a shudder or shaking in the steering wheel then its likely a wheel bearing.

Another good indicator can be found when you jack up the suspicious wheel. Put one hand on the top of the wheel and one on the bottom and pull back and forth. If the wheel makes a clunking noise and moves in either direction, then wheel bearing is shot.

My steering column is make loud squeking noises.

The rubber "boot" at the firewall is chafing on the steering shaft. Spray shaft with silicone lube, then turn the steering wheel back & forth to work lube in. May require occasional re application.

Saturn l200 Steering Wheel Squeaks

On the intermediate shaft. Steering shaft there is a rubber boot where it goes thru the firewall. This rubs, sometimes can be lubed with a silicone spray, sometimes needs the shaft replaced.
