I have recently changed from points to electronic distributer. I have also upgraded the ignition coil. I am looking at rewiring the coil back to power source as I am not getting sufficient power at the coil. I have removed the ballast resistor but still power is very limited.
Any help appreciated

How did you replace the the distributor with an electronic? Did the electronic distributor have a control box with it or are you trying to use the existing wiring? Electronic distributors use a fast rise in current with a break which creates the spark. Some vehicles have a limiting resistor built into the factory vehicle wiring that reduces the voltage to the coil, on others the coil the resister is built into the coil that is different from a standard dist. coil. Some units also have an extra condensor attached to the coil, besides the distributor. Good Luck, RAC
