I have an 03 saturn ion quad coupe, and whenever i come to a complete stop, my car like shakes and rattles as if it were going to die but doesnt. and whenever I go to take off, it's like my car is stuck and it jumps into gear...
what could this be?
Ive been told it's the shocks but Im not so sure.
Sometimes it feels as if the brakes are not coming unlocked..
any advise?
More likely the transmission - could be the overdrive solenoid is stuck in the engaged position.

there are clips holding the door panel around the edges. to remove the clips, use a small screwdriver to feel for them, then use another one to pull the panel on the other side. Pull outward from both sides of the clip until it comes loose. Do this repeatedly, and then loosen and remove the arm rest.
Pull the window up and have a helper hold it as you work it back into the track.

There could be damage internally with the engine.

dealerships are usually very helpful with pulling the codes and unlocking it. Catch them on a good day and they may do if for free. if not they usually charged about $60..

Not shocks. Could be a sticky caliper or bad piston on a caliper.
