When driving my truck revs up to 3rd gear and then kicks real hard back into gear. Now when I stop at a light or stop sign the car starts rocking like it's gonna stall. Is it my transmission going out?

Unfortunately it sounds like your automatic transmission has suffered a catastrophic failure. But to be sure, allow your vehicle to warm up to normal operating temprature, pull the oil level dipstick for the transmission and check the level. It should be in the checker portion of the stick to be correct level. If it is not, adding fluid may help the condition temporarily. Check for leaks while the engine is running. sounds like tranny computer is bad take it to a grage and have a computer put on it cost about $50.00 to do this

Is it possible that the sound is happening every time you hit 14 mph after a fresh start? The TC does a ABS check 14 mph that runs the pump for a second.
