Yes, the yellow car with a spanner - does NOT mean that a service is due soon. It means that there is a possible fault with the engine electronic management system. The car needs to have the fault codes read via the OBD socket. http://www.diagnostic-world.com/pages/meriva_a_dash_lights_203035.cfm.
Hi Barbara:
That will be a "service engine soon" message.
If it is continually flashing it means it is urgent.
Often it will mean that the engine sensors are trying to tell you that the information they are getting is outside the "normal" range.
A mechanic can retrieve codes that tell what is wrong.
Depending on the age of the vehicle, it is not uncommon for a sensor to need replacement.
Hopes this helps.
Cheers.
Yes it is a "service soon" light. It means something is wrong or up. You should have it checked at the dealer or an auto repair shop. :-) If the mileage is around 50,000 or 100,000 miles, the service light will likely come on. I think all cars do this. I think the dealers or the auto repair place can turn it off.
Honda has different service package reminders programmed in the computer. Contact your local dealer or your owners manual. B3 will be an oil change and probably some other fluid checks or changes.
most cars have a "mileage/time clock" inbuilt into them to tell you when you need a service.handy really, if you forgot when your last service was done.....it just means your car is due....
Service soon light means, that the computer pick up a bad signal from one of your engine sensor, have a code reading done, get back with us with the code number so we can help with your troublr code, autozone will do this service for free.
hi this is telling you that you have nearly reached the required mileage before the next service is due, its a reminder just telling you is all , i think they are set to something like 5000miles for each service but it could differ between vehicles some are less some are more...hope this helps
Did you have the computer checked to see what code or codes come up? If not and you have an Advanced Auto store near by they check computer codes for free. They hook up their code reader and it shows the code or codes and lists what the code means.
