2000 lincoln ls replaced coils car idles rough now it wont start

I just had the two coils replace and it diddnt fix the problem. now the car idles real rough and just died on me. i dont know what the problem is please help. wants 2 kick over but just dies.

    my 2000 ls v6 did the same it was the idle controle module try that

I would take it to someone with an obd tester and see what codes they pull.

Is a check engine light on?

Who replaced the two coils and did they use genuine Lincoln Parts?
You can open up a whole new can of worms using some types of aftermarket coils.
These cars have tons of electronics in them and some aftermarket coils don't mesh well with the original electronics causing other electrical anomalies.

Code 0304 #4 cyl misfire - 2000 lincoln LS - the spark plugs are good and the seals are not leaking, (no oil at plugs). The car does run but its kind of on the rough side and it has a really tough time...
You replace the spark plugs with the factory spec
plugs every 3 years

You replace both upstream O2 sensors every 100,000 miles

The COP ignition coils can last 2 years or 8, but they all fail by then

With no experience & me not writing a book here, on how to diagnose,just replace all the coils

Get them from Rock Auto

The codes you get are not much use as they are not accurate
The coils act up in different ways & set all sorts of codes

Coil on plug could be bad, alternator could have internal short, or your Idle air control valve could need to be replaced.

I HAVE A 2000 LINCOLN LS. IT IS MISSING BAD AT AN
What you do, is get to a shop,NOT THE DEALER, that has a professional scanner and oscilloscope. Not a code reader. Now you know that codes alone DO NOT tell you what's wrong and never what to replace. I have a 2004. This is Fords most complex vehicle ever. Sort of a test bed for them and a nightmare for us. You will need to find the best driveability tech you can find to work on it. It won't be cheap,nor a quick fix

Idling rough. The coils and spark plugs have been replaced but still idles really bad in my 2001 Lincoln LS. The car has 72000 miles
id clean the throttle body before spending more money on anything else, as carbon build up can cause rough idling.
you can clean it with throttle body cleaner, or just gasoline and a toothbrush, then wipe off the build up.
