I have the crank at TDC and I have what look like 2 marks on bearing housing with the crank at TDC it is align with a slash and about an inch to the left with look to be a dot on the bearing housing Did my timing belt jump or is it in the correct position. Had the car a year I know nothing of it history( valve cover says it was replaced at 94,000 in 1996) Has over 200,000 on it but was running fine , went to start and it stall and just kept cranking

Have the cams been removed from the head and the timing between the two disturbed, or do you just need the timing marks for the main cam sprocket and crank sprocket? I can get camshaft information if you need it.

On the crank pulley there is a "V" cut out on the pulley, on the top pulley there should be a hole in the pulley spokes, behind the pulley you should see a notch, not a weld it will look different, line that up with the hole, and put timing belt on carefull not to turn pulleys, then you will have to start all over.

Cam shaft marks at TDC on a 1994 Toyota Camry 2.2L engine

generally to be honest with you ladies and gentlemen, dont trust any marks especially old vehicles,if youre mechanic you need to knw timing valve sequential by heart so that you can use marks as a cross check after everything installed. Example vw cam pulley comparing to an Audi cam pulley looks similar, same diameter even teeth gears are the same but differs in mark, the other mark at 12 oclock and the other at10 oclock.

Oil leaking from toyota camry 1992, 1994 model

You don't say what engine it has. The 4-cyl was a better than the V6 for oil leaks.

The V6 had oil leaks from

-rear bank cam cover gasket

-distributor o-ring seal

-oil filter bracket o-ring seal

-crankshaft nose oil seal (less common)

-rear main bearing oil seal (expensive, just leave it)

The 4 cyl leaked oil from

-distributor o-ring seal

-camshaft cover gasket

-rear main bearing seal (expensive, leave it)

I need timing belt marks for new timing belt on a 1994 Toyota Camry LE 2.2L 4 cylinder

Firstly the no.1 piston should be at TDC (compression).

The upper camshaft sprocket has a smaller hole in the web. This should be lined up exactly with the TDC timing mark behind it on the cam bearing cap. In this position it will be vertically upwards.

At the same time the notch in the crankshaft pulley timing flange should be opposite the 0 degrees mark on the timing marks on the front of the lower belt cover.

Changed cyl head, on 1996 2.2 toyota camry, cant seem to figure out cam timing

there is a hole in the camshaft gear turn the gear until it lines up with a mark in the cylinder head at the top. then line the crankshaft gear mark up with the mark on the block. sometimes the best way to see the camshaft timing mark is with a mirror.
