Truck will start fine, and feels like it is shifting gears, but when i push gas it will not move or even turn the wheels (this is on a slanted driveway). It had been parked with the emergency brake (which HAS been released), but now it will not budge. Please help, I need to get to work tomorrow!

Sounds like the fuel supply is inadequate. Check for a plugged fuel filter, or possibly the fuel pump is losing pressure. I had a 93 Chevy V6 that acted the same way, and after checking everything else I replaced the fuel pump, which solved the problem.

Either the switch on the lever is not adjusted or is going bad, or the return spring is weak. You could try spraying the cables where they enter the outer coverings with wd 40 or other spray lube and making sure that the cables are not hanging up as well. (good to do once in a while anyhow as maintenance)

You could have a sticking cable to one of the rear brakes. Need to inspect it from below. If you do a lot of off-roading the cable may only need lubricated.

if there is no lever or pull handle step on the emergency brake pedal and quickly remove your foot from pedal. as for no start check to see if the fuel pump is comming on

Either the linkage is worn for shifting, or the reverse solenoid is bad.
In which case, the transmission will have to be rebuilt to get at the valve body to repair.
Maybe try a transmission flush for about $100 before going for the rebuild which will cost 10x or more for.
Or, try a used transmission that fits your vehicle that has less miles on it.
