This has happened before when my son had this car. The interior lights come on but when I try to start it I get nothing. My son says a fuse of some kind blew and when he replaced it, it started. He just doesnt remember which fuse it was. This has happened before when my son had this car. The interior lights come on but when I try to start it I get nothing. My 1996 olds Aurora did the things yours is doing I replaced the fuel pump sensor myself for 7.00 or 8,00 dollars that solved the problem. That may help.It seemed to be acting like it was out of gas I hope this helps
all of the fuse boxes are located under the bottom half of the back seat.you just put your hand down where the seatbelts buckle and pull it towards the front off the car. once you get there the fuses are labeled. good luck
the pump should be underneath the trunk behind right rear tire, if not follow the noise when the pump is running - the leveling switch is on the rear suspension arms - sounds like the pump is not pumping enough air or you have an air leak in the struts
Check on the side of the seat for a manual lever. For some reason the car companies still include a manual adjustment in addition to the electric one. If any direction works with the motor then the fuse is good.
If by drive belt you mean serpentine belt, chances are the problem is the idler pulley or another pulley. Check to see if any of the visible pulleys have the outer edge worn off or snapped off, and then look underneath the tensioner to find the idler pulley; the factory idler pulley is plastic and will shatter after a while. A replacement costs about $10 and is made of steel. As for the dash and fog lights, first thing I'd check is the fuses. There are 3 fuse panels in an Aurora, and one relay center under the hood. The first one is in between the dash and driver's door, just open the door and you should see it. The other 2 are located under the back seat; put your hands underneath the seat and give a firm tug and the seat should pop up. The owner's manual will detail which fuse does what. If the problem isn't a fuse or relay, and you've installed an aftermarket radio, chances are you didn't connect the illumination wire correctly, especially if you didn't use an adapter. If this is the case, locate the yellowish-olive wire, and use a voltmeter to measure the voltage coming from it with the lights on and off; it should read 12 to 14.4 volts with them on, and 0 with them off. The simplest solution is to simply ground this wire out to something, this completes the circuit when you turn on your lights for the instrument panel lights to work correctly.
