What is the cost to fix or replace fuel gauge?

Does the gauge work? You see it is up or full in day light? If the light went out, It is just 1 LED. You have to replace the Instrument panel to fix it. Several hundred dollars and it has to be programmed to your car. More cost. I would live with it.

This problem, is caused by a defective gas level sending unit inside the fuel tank. You must remove the fuel tank from the car to replace the level sensor.

there is a purple wire on the fuel pump harnes if you put a ground to it the guage should jump past full if working if that being the case you sending unit in the tank is bad as for the oil presure is most likely the sending unit for it as well should be located on the engine block besid distributer

Usually this problem originates from the sending unit, not the gauge. It's unfortunate because the sending unit is located inside the fuel tank. It's even more unfortunate because the sending unit is integrated into the fuel pump assembly, which costs ~$200. Sometimes the sending unit contacts can be cleaned / sanded, but most often, because the labor is about the same cost as a new fuel pump assembly, people opt to just replace it.

Either your gauge is bad or the fuel level sender is. Most likely it's the sender in the gas tank. To replace it you would have to drain the fuel tank and pull the fuel pump/sender assembly and replace. You cannot just replace the fuel level sender with this car, the entire assembly must be changed out.

the only way to fix it is to remove your fuel tank and replace the whole thing,the fuel gauge sending unit is part of the pump assembly costs about 4 hundred dollars.

u will need to drop the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump module which contains the gas gauge sending unit, it is not sold separately.

hi check the simple things first fuses then take the temperture senders wire off and ground it get someone to watch the temp gauge if the gauge is ok it will move straight into the hot if so change the sender switch then do the same with the fuel tanks sender unit wire if gauge is ok it will show full now presumming the gauges are moving and the fuses are ok the problem is on the clocks some cars have a removeable stablizer between the gauges if so it is a simple fix yates210456
