Just remove the wheels look on the back side of the brake calibers by the pads remove the 2 14 milimeter bolts that holds the calibers on then get a c clamp or a large pair of pliers to squeaz the piston back into the caliber remove old pads and reinstall all removed parts

I want to change the valve gasket. I see 2 bolt on the top of it can i do it for myself. im wondering maybe there is some parts attach to it. mitsubishi galant 79 model.

Hi,
That two bolts is the one holding the valve cover and the air filter housing.
No worries, just remove the bolts, and remove the old gasket around the cover.
Upon installing new rubber gasket, make sure it is clean. Put a silicone sealant around the canal, where the new rubber gasket would be placed, not too much sealant.
Put the new gasket, and now you can put back everything as you have removed it.
Hope that seals everything!
Thanks for using Fixya!

When to change timing belt in 2006 galant

Timing Belt Replace ment Intervals for 2006 Mitsubishi Galant are as follows:

2.4L 4Cylinder engine: Every 60,000 miles

3.8L V-6 Engine: Every 60,000 miles

Both of these engines are "Interference Engines" which means that if the timing belt breaks, severe engine damage is likely to result.

I personally recommend replacement of the timing belt idler and tensioner pullies as well as the water pump because failure of these components will cause a failure of the timing belt.

My brakes are very squeaky and each time that i take them to get checked out, they tell me that there is nothing wrong. whats the best type of brake pads for a 2003 mitsubishi galant

You mean it sounds like the school bus pulling up?? It is the pads, some of the new organic pads squeak like crazy, my motorcycle squeaks like a school bus, I changed the pads 3 times before I found one that didn't squeak. You can go out and get them now, or just wait till it's do, Get a different pad, get the old cheap ones that don't turn your wheels brown with soybeans or whatever is in them. I tried the good ones and the cheap ones, I can't tell any difference in stopping performance, they both work, one might last longer, be environmentally safe, but we are talking brakes here, not rocket ships. Check it out, Hope this helps.

I have a 2006 mitsubishi galant and the brake light keeps coming on when I turn corners. Just wondering what are the possibilities?

I had the same problem with my 2006 Galant, it turned out to be the first indication that my front driver-side brake pad needed to be replaced. I suggest you get it fixed soon- I continued to drive it for too long after that started happening, that I had to replace the rotor as well.

Stearing judders when i break

possibly it could be an alighnment issue..when was the last time you had an alighnment? thats something to think about. your wheels/tires could have have too much road force which might affect that. Or maybe somethng in your steering colomn itself.. have you been in or known of your vehicle being in an accident recently? those are just some ideas hope that may help
