2001 Taurus RPMs drop every 10 seconds in park after warm

My 2001 Taurus has trouble maintaining normal RPMs when idle after warm. It will hover around 900-1000 rpm then suddenly drop to 300 then catch itself and come back up. Seems to get worse the longer it is driven. We have replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, coil pack, and fuel filter. When testing the fuel pressure from the engine port there was no issue found. doesn't seem to be a vacuum leak because we sprayed the entire intake system and it did not change the idle. Any help would be great!

What should my 2010 camry rpms be at in park starting the car

Hi Joseph, When starting the vehicle from cold in cold weather, the RPM can be as high as 1300 and in temperate climates about 1100 RPM. The RPM will drop to normal as the coolant is warmed. Normal idle speed is between 750 for Auto and 650 to 700 for manual transmission. Regards John

Ruff idle on my 2001 for taurus. At higher rpms it runs fine.

It is most likely you wheel alignment (costs about 20 bucks to have your wheels aligned) or try checking the tire Pressure to make sure they're all even maybe hope this helps

Engine Idle Problem - Intermittant

I've just had the same thing on my Elantra 2001. I took it to the dealership and they fixed it easily; it was a malfunctioning 'Throttle Position Sensor'. They fixed the faulty connection but they said a new one would have cost about 175GBP (275USD) fitted. Hope this helps.
