It sounds like you are in Limp Mode. Check for DTC Codes on a professional grade scan tool computer. It will show the diagnostics and the codes show the fix.

The first code is for the Diesel particulate filter sensor and the second is for a high temperature on the EGR temperature sensor. Your truck may need a new Air filter and I would try doing that first. The EGR temperature may drop if the Intake air flow is better.

Have someone clear the computer with a scanner at Autozone, Oreillys, or Advance where they will scan for free. Also ask scan guy to get a reading on curb idle speed. You may be idling too low to have good exhaust flow. If the EGR temp remains high, you may have a blocked exhaust or a faulty sensor.
