Carburetor Tuning Mitsubish.

I have taken my car to multiple mechanics who have no idea how to tune the carburetor, they say they need a diagram of what screws do what etc when to tuning the carb. Problem is that the carb in my haynes manual is different to the one I have, I think the carb I have is called a ''Mikuni Solex 32/36'' It is a stock carb. My car is A Mitsubishi Lancer/Mirage 1992 model cc coupe, engine 4G15 carb. pls help car is running very rich Thanks..

Carburetors are for the most part simple its like flushing your toilet once it starts it becomes automatic the only problem is with idle or if you start messing with mixture and air adjustments.2 barrels are easily rebuilt on a small table with a 30 dollar kit and a couple cans of carb cleaner.Just follow the instrutions in the kit clear out all passages and replace the main ware parts and they will run like new and last for ever. Most vehicles after 1985 also have systems and sensors on them like TP throttle position sensor or idle compensator or pressure feed back system or oil comsumtion system but for the most part as long as the electrical connections are solid and the valve seats are clean and on air leaks with the exception of the TP this is a ware part and needs to be replaced from time to time every time you push on the gas pedal it moves

Hi,
I have a 1992 Mitsubishi Lancer. The engine surges and
appears to misfire as I accelerate through gear changes.
Would this be an electrical or fuel problem.

There could be many problem if the carburetor type is solex 32 36....if your car is puffing black smoke all the time...means it is rich...okay..here in malaysia..this type of carburetor is useless hahaha....here is the solution...it maybe because your engine temperature sensor is bad...also check the thermostat for problem...and also your co2 sensor...because all of these is been controlled by ECU just like EFI system...also if cold starting is rough and black smoke comes out...it means your auto choke had a problem...hehehe thats all i can say...

My car has 4g13 engine and aisan carburetor my mechanic cleaned my carburetor i have black smoke coming from tailpipe. i think its the vacuum hoses put back wrong. where can i find a diagram for this?

More likely the carb itsel that still needs some attention.Disconnect and plug all vacuum hoses and run the vehicle,if choke is fully open and black smoke still shows it's the carburetor itself that still needs repairing/adjustment.

How to tune a b210 caburatorI manage get the idle tuning perfect next how to tune the rune up(when in running it put out blak smoke)

Something internal in the carburetor is wrong, maybe the accelerator pump seal or gasket is bad. Think you will have to put a rebuild kit in the carb. There's no outside adjustment for it being way too rich.

Holden rodeo carby tuning

I really doubt the car is the problem, if it runs poorly at wide open throttle the carb is not the problem, check the fuel pressure 1st, it should be around 5-7 PSI, if that is ok then you may have a problem in the ignition system.

My car has died on me while driving multiple times. It has irregular and rough idol, and also before it dies the check engine light comes on.

If this is a carburetor model, then the carburetor most likely needs work.Have you done a major tune up?Wires, plugs, cap, and rotor.Check all vacuum hoses, and replace all the old ones that look worn out and decade. If you do all this, and does not help, have the carb, rebuilt. Also change the air filter.
