Remove the light cover at bottom of the door and pull out the screw
pry up the black switch panel and remove the screw from behind that.
pry off the black plastic triangle pcs at the front of the door above the arm rest , then lift straight up on the panel ( unplug window and locks) and light wiring at bottom after lifting door panel

2001 ford f350 power door locks not working

Check fuses first, then switches on both doors, if nothing still you will have to pull the door panels and inspect the master lock switch (drivers door) and see if anything is loose or corroded.

How to replace the door lock acutator on the drivers side front door? I have a new actuator but do now know what I have to take out to get to it.

You will need to remove the interior door panel before you can access the lock actuator. This will require removing numerous bits of trim and probably some hand tools. Take some pictures as you're taking things apart, and be sure to put everything back together in reverse order.

My driver side door wont lock

The actuator that locks the door is probably worn out. I would simply lock it manually .
If you desire to , you can replace the actuator by removing the interior trim panel and drilling the rivets holding the actuator in the door. Replace the rivets with small screw/bolt combos .

Two of my door locks will not unlock w/ remote or inside button.

The door lock actuators or 'solenoids' have failed. This seems to be pretty common on Windstars - I've just replaced a couple on my '02. (Ironically, the original batteries in the remote fobs are still going strong, they lasted longer than the actuators). You can buy third party replacement parts, the front door ones are 'handed' driver & passenger, but a common part will work for both sliding doors. I don't have instructions for removing the door panels, but search online - it's not tricky. The original actuators are riveted in place - you'll need to drill out these rivets. The new actuator can be held in place with a nut, bolt & couple of washers. Replacing these parts isn't too difficult - the first one took me about 1.5 hours, but once I knew what I was doing, the second one took about 0.5 hours. Good luck.

2001 Ford Excursion door locks will not unlock or lock.

Unfortunately the actuators are bad. You could try removing the door panels and disconnect one actuator at a time and possibly only have a couple bad but it is common to have more than on go bad. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Power door locks will not unlock the door

if problem is mechanical you will need to remove inner door panel and lube lock mechanism if its electrical you need to test for power at the lock actuator which is inside the door panel the power will switch from one pin to the other depending on wether you are locking or unlocking if you have power to both pins when pushing switch both ways actuator is bad you can remove actuator a nd use manual lock till you can replace with new

How to replace actuator on F350 V0

My right sliding door's lock doesn't function either. I took off the door panel and found that the lock mechanism was broken. Normally I would think this strange, as the lock mech is metal. But since this is a Plymouth product, I some how think it should be normal for something to break off without it ever getting a direct hit. I can only assume that my kids closing the door too hard might have had something to do with this. Anyway, the whole lock mech needs to be replaced, and I haven't even tried to see how much that will cost me. This Van has cost twice in repairs than what I paid new for it. (just kidding, but it sure feels like it). If you have an answer to this query
