Then usually means spark is bad.(damp kills high voltage spark)
why guess.
why not do the 60,000 mile tuneup now. and amazing , spark starts working...
if it dont start, we check spark, first not fuel.
why. because if the ECU even thinks spark is bad, it cuts fuel
so car dont crash and burn, like seen on TV.
that is the way it works.
spark first (if compression good )
do the tune up. listed in the operator guide

Apparently the relay is not being turned on. I believe that signal would come from the engine computer. Does your check engine light come on when you turn the key to on? If it does, the computer is powered up-if no check engine light, either the bulb has burnt out or the computer has no power-check for a bad fuse. Put your finger on the fuel pump relay and have someone turn the key to on. Do you feel the relay tick? If you do, check if the relay has one hot wire with key off-use a voltmeter or a testlight. If you do have a hot wire at relay., check fuel pump wiring from relay to the pump. Pull off the connector at the pump and replug it back in. If you can't find a powered wire at the relay with key off, maybe it is only hot when key is on, so turn key on and check relay again for that power wire going to the relay, one wire should have constant power there. If not, there is a wiring problem between the battery and the relay. If the relay has power to it, but you felt no pulse when turning the key to on, likely the relay is not getting a signal to turn on. A shop would need to investigate that. Well, good luck, hope you find the problem.
The electric fuel pump is controlled by a relay in the fusebox. It normally only goes on for a few seconds, and then if the alternator does not signal the engine is running, the relay is supposed to shut the pump off. But you can shunt the secondary wires of the relay to keep it on if you want to check fuel pressure.
Try some starting fluid spray to make sure the ignition is good. It will at least sputter on the spray, if there is spark.
I had the exact same problem with a 91 GM vehicle.I replaced almost everything including the fuel pump. Months later I discovered I had purchsed and installed a faulty fuel pump, new from the factory. That was the last thing I would of guessed. the fuel pump worked when I tested it but would seize when it got hot during regular driving. One day I decided to let the car run in the driveway until it happened.I sat near the car so I could hear the pump run.All of a sudden the pump started to whine and fade on and off thats when the car shut off.I replaced it it a second time and it never happened again. You may have to put a fuel pressure guage on the fuel rail and run the car and watch when it happens.
first step check fuel pump relay for 12v.If 12v is there check for ground on the coil side.if there is a good ground plug relay back in and see if there is 12v on the side of fuel pump.if there is under 12v the relay is bad if it does have 12v u have a bad wire to the fuel pump.
