The car died on me in the middle or the road . The #1 fuse blows

The car died on me in the middle or the road . The # 1 fuse keeps blowing. I put a new fuse in( 25amps )and before I can turn the key past the acsesorys to start the car it blows. Sometimes I cant even turn the key befor its blown. The other fuses are fine. The car wants to start but with out the main engine fuse it wont start. I had the head gasket changed, the water pump changed, the spark plug wires changed. alternator belt changed, and the timing belt changed. it ran for a week then it started this fuse problem.

Check your ignition/fuel pump relay---it's with all the other relays in a dash tray---it's ORANGE---check it for dead-short.

I have an 05 mazda 3 keeps blowing engine bar 1 fuse #35 in owners manual. replaced it once and car ran for ten min and died. now fuse pops instantly. is this a common problem? if so how do i fi

I had same problem with Nissan 4x4 took it done to auto elec he couldn,t find the short so he put in a resetting fuse so if it happened sometimes it would not blow fuse but reset, but that made no sense so after a month I worked out what was causing it.The alternator had a bear wire in side that touched other wires when driving over bumps so it was shorting out ignition and petrol pump fuse, so got another alternator from the wreakers and it never happened again apparently its common. seaya Neil

Fuse # 2 keeps burning out

Put a taillight bulb in place of the fuse. It will light when wires are shorted. Wiggle and check wires until the bulb does not burn. You can also get fuses that light up when blown.

Eng. controller Fuse keeps blowing when I turn the ignition on to start my car

Have you checked your wiring to starter? It sounds like the power wire going to starter has loosened up.That would cause fuse to blow and also the way you described that the car died. Or even check to see that the red wire going to starter hasn't gotten dinged or melted by the exhaust. Anything that would cause it to short out.

Car blows starter fuse after hitting bump in road causing car to die. Changed 30amp fuse and tried to start and blows fuse agian

check out the wiring. The bump may have made some connections loos or may have shaken up the wires and wires that are exposed may have hit each other or the metal part of the car which caused a short and in turn caused a fuse to blow.

Keep blowing ECM fuse on 90 honda accord

I'm thinking the ECM is bad and grounding out, causing the car to blow the fuse. The old gas wouldn't cause this problem.
