Fiat 500c stuck in "phone"mode. How do I reset so the audio works?

Try to reset to factory reset through RESET button on device. Normally it's the POWER button. Press and hold the power button for approximately 10 seconds, your device will reboot.

Keep disconnect the car's battery for a longer period of time to ensure that the radio's memory is fully cleared. Be sure to have the car's security code on hand, as it may be required to reactivate the radio after reconnecting the battery.

The limp mode , reduced power mode has to do with the electronic throttle control . Some good videos on youtube how it works an how to diagnose . Electronic Throttle Control ETC System .Now as far as the parking lights staying on ,the relay contacts are probably stuck closed causing the lights to stay on .

before you press the cd on button keep holding the eject button while you press power on, I know this works for computers etc.

after facing east and getting the prayer mat out .if that doesnt work then on some of them i know they have a mechanical lever in or around the seat area

if your LR3/Range Rover Harmon Kardon Goes into Phone Mode
Switch off ignition wait until the harmon kardon switches off totally .
Remove the pull off trim around the unit , it pulls away from the bottom , then remove the torQ screws to take the audio unit out .
remove the fibre optic mos cable plug (Fibres are orange .)
Switch on your ignition. audio will come on .
wait 30 secs , then reinsert your fibre cable plug , the audio unit might revert to phone mode , Dont worry , Just switch off and repeat the process, Trust me it will come on .
this default code happens when the Power supply has been disconnected , and the unit is looking for a phone, by taking the fiber optic loop out the unit searches, then goes to the next mode audio . DO NOT BUY A NEW UNIT

You will need to contact a fiat dealer to get the code. They will require Vin number and proof of vehicle ownership.

replace radio

You need to take it an have a factory or professional scanner hooked up an have it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . All the electronic's on your vehicle , control module's , communication networking etc... Is the first place to start a diagnostic procedure . A factory scanner can check for DTC'S in all the modules on the vehicle , not just OBD 2 engine code's . Your vehicle has 15 to 20 different control module's . All light's are controlled by the SJB - smart junction box , ford's body control module . Do you know anything about automotive electronic's ?

We had the same problem. Pull the premium amplifier fuse and put it back in. This resets the premium audio amplifier. Should be good as new after this reset.
