The relay in your blower motor is stuck on, there is a TSB for this issue. Replace the blower motor resistor and you'll be back in business.
How does the resistor get power if the fuse is pulled?
Replacing the resistor will cure both problems. TSB is a technical service bullitin seen below

SOURCE: 2004 GMC Envoy Seat Heating Element

Yes u must de-trim the seat cushion, the element is inside the seat, this is not a job for the novice, get the part yourself and take it to an automotive trim shop.

SOURCE: Why does my heater keep running after I shut my Envoy off?

I have the same problem. I have also been searching the web for a solution. I came across someone saying that it was the heater module located behind the glove department. I can't find now where i read this but it said the part was approx. $150.00. He was having same problem as us, heater wouldn't obey touch commands to turn on/off or when heater did blow it would only blow real low or real high. Like you, after turning off engine blower motor was still running even though it wasn't blowing air out.
I'm tired of paying for things that are not due to normal "wear and tear" on my 2003 Envoy. Let me know if this helps you and how you repaired it. I'll probably have to take mine to the shop but because I'm a "girl" I swear they think I'm crazy with all my Envoy complaints.

2004 GMC ENVOY RANDOMLY SHUTS OFF BUT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP? ALSO WHAT CAUSES HEAT TO STAY ON ON ONE SIDE EVEN THO THE A/C IS ON AND BLOWS COLD FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Temperature blend door actuator is probably stuck on heat position , needs replacing more then likely. Videos on youtube showing how to replace it .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wPg6uJCNcs

Now as far as it shutting down , that could be any number of thing's , could cost a lot of time an money tracking that down . It would be best if when it shut off it wouldn't restart ,easier to fix that way .

I have a 2004 Gmc Envoy 54K miles. I have no left or right brakelights, only the brake light on the rear hatch. Looked under the seat and the fuse has nothing to connect to or make contact with down in the...

On the cover of the fuse box is the location of all the fuses that are in this box and where they go.Look at it carefully and you should be able to see where this fuse should be and if it is for the brake lights. As far as the blower motor the usual cause on these models is the blower motor resistor. It is located on the passengers side under the dash. You should be able to see it by just looking under the dash. The connector that goes from the blower motor to the resistor usually gets hot and melts. So you may need a connector and the resistor itself. On the lights if the fuse does not take care of the problem make sure and check the bulbs.I have had where both bulbs are bad.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Htg and a/c fan switch only works on high in 2004 GMC Envoy. The a/c and heat work, just the blower only blows on high

Sounds like the blower motor resistor module is bad. It is located behind the glovebox and mounted to the blower motor. Open the glovebox and in the back left corner find a spring, push on spring to release glovebox door completely. You should be able to see blower motor and resistor module.

AC blower stopped working on my 2004 GMC EnvoyXL. The rear AC blower works but not the front. Checked the fuses and relays, they appear to be OK.

does it work on heat mode if not then it is probably the blower motor switch in the dash or the blower itself

When my 2004 gmc envoy xuv is idleing i put the heat on n it stalls out.why?

Either you have a vacuum leak or electrical issue.
First Inspect all vacuum lines.
Next test engine vacuum (17-21 hg's)
If all a-ok then its electrical and you got your work cut out for ya.Have to probe the circuit to see where its shorting and what its shorting to. I don't think it will be electrical simple because you would be blowing fuses if it was. Sounds more vacuum related..... and thats worse.
