Try changing the mass air flow sensor located up by the air cleaner. Mine had a similar problem when you stepped on the gas it would pop (sounding like a backfire) and hardly had any power. I changed that sensor and it runs strong now.

I just replaced mine with an Interstate MT-58. It may not be the most powerful but it does the job. I believe Motorcraft has a BXT-65 for the '93 Crown Vic.
Possible that your blinker module is going bad. It is located in your fuse box under the dash, and it looks like a little silver barrel, about the size of a half-dollar. Just pulls straight out. You can get a new one at any auto parts store for under $10.
its possible that u have a timing issue ur timing chain may be going out if u did a recent tune up u may have put one or more plug wires on wrong check those
