what are tires touching, ICE or dirt or pavement
part time 4wd is for offroad or ice/snow
so doing that all wrong it now wants to do bind up crab walk

the cure is simple put 1 or more tires on dirty or ICE
then dead crawl out of 4wd to 2wd.
what transfer case is there IDK.????????
but the users guide tells when not to use 4wd read that first.
no mater what car it is, 4wd/awd

Replace the motor/module on the transfercase. It has an internal short. Don't replace it. Soon you will have to replace or rebuild the transfer case and the motor.
Normally manual 4X4 vehicles will jump and buck when turning. When you engage the transfer case to direct power to the front axle it locks the front differential. When driving on dry asphalt there is sufficient traction to cause lurching while turning . In snow ,mud or on wet asphalt there is enough slippage that you won't notice the lurching. In these vehicles the 4X4 is intended for use when driving conditions warrant it, and for normal driving conditions it should be driven in 2WD only.

I have a 2002 Dodge 1500 Ram 4x4, quad cab and had the same problem. In
2wd the clicking was constant, in 4wd it would go away. Also I had no
4wd while in 4wd, found that out after a snow storm. I took my truck to
a buddies garage (a Dodge mechanic), he said this is a common problem.
He pulled the drivers side wheel, hub, axle and stub axle. The stub
axle splines where it goes into the CV joint and and the internal
splines in the CV joint were gone. Almost smooth even. The wheel
bearing was completely wore out too. I ended up replacing the hub
assembly, both the inner and outer axles. Not a cheap fix either I
have about $600 repair bill, but it's back on the road now smooth and
quite.
I Am trying to pull and replace the hubs the bolt is off but the hub will not come off
