Vsc vsc off check engine light on 2000 toyota avalon I have the same problem on my 2006 Avalon Limited. Error code indentifies the O2 Sensor located on Bank 1 Sensor 1 as defective.

This doesn't work, after a day or so the light pops back on, I know because I've been dealing with this problem for a year now . Does anyone anywhere have a solution to this problem !!!!????

Have you cleaned the MAF sensor? It is really easy to remove and clean. Just need a Phillips Head screwdriver and some MAF cleaner ($7.50). The sensor is found on the top of the air hose leading to the engine directly after the air filter box. It has one snap connection and then you can unscrew it from the intake hose. I am having the exact same problem with the check engine codes coming back with "P0171 - System too lean, bank 1". I having been looking everywhere for something online that actually shows a diagram of the O2 (or Air Flow) Bank 1 sensor. I know it is on the exhaust closest to the firewall, but I can't find it.

Toyota Avalon 2006 all Check Engine, VSC, Traction Control lights are on

that code 356 is a bad coil. if it is completely dead than you now have a 5 cylinder car.... very bad not only on mpg but also on the life of the engine. when you have a "dead hole" it can affect the other cylinders and you have misfire codes for all 6..... this could mean you simply need a tune up or that there is something affecting all cylinders. check for a vacuum leak after the air flow sensor, or a ruptured fuel pressure regulator (remove the vacuum line at the regulator and smell for gas cause there should not be gas on that side of the diaphragm) fouled spark plugs, clogged exhaust or catalytic converter, stuck open or dirty EGR valve to name a few. change that #6 coil first and at least inspect or change the spark plugs... c1201 relates to a communication stop between ECU's , don't assume that as the vsc lights etc were illuminated then that is the system that is faulty. It is most likely that the fault is within the engine system but with vehicles equipped with vsc all systems are linked so a fault with one will log a code in all others ( normally a communication stop code as you have)
I would advise fixing the engine codes first then get the other systems checked out

I have a check engine and a vsc light on my 2007 toyota avalon limited, what does that mean

It means you need to read your owners manual

Also that you have a Vehicle System Malfunction,
that needs attention within a couple of days, of ANY
Light or Symbol on your dash

The check light may be one problem &
the vsc is drivetrain or you may just have one,
need to get the codes before you can start to
figure it out

2002 toyota avalon vsc and engine light stay on.

Hi, you have to use a scanner and pull the code out that is causing the check engine light to come on. whatever code/codes you find are probably related to vsc light.

Take care

Vsc vsc off check engine light on 2000 toyota avalon

I just had the same issue. Cost me $40.00 to find out my gas cap wasnt clicked all the way. He also said that after the error arises, simply closing the gas until it clicked may not have removed the error code from the computer. Not sure how, but you might have to reset the computer, maybe just pull the battery?
