Check and clean connections to ECU with electronics cleaner. make sure there is a good ground for it too. if this still persists you may have to find a ECU and have it programmed to your car.

SOURCE: reduced engine power is displayed on meassage

This pretty much means that your computer has failed. The engine will go into limp mode at this point, as you have noticed. You need to have the computer tested, but really the only way to do this is at a dealership. Most mechanics won't have the right tools. A dealership might be able to reset your computer and get you going again. You should be prepared, tough, to hear that your computer is shot and can not be fixed. In that case, you're looking at $600-$800 for the part it's self.

However, you can try to monkey around yourself. Disconnect the wiring harness from the PCM and make sure both connectors are clean. Reconnect the wiring harness. Go around the engine and make sure all ground connections are clean and tight. A bad ground in the wrong spot and really mess with the computer too. I wish I could be more specific, but it's really a matter of just hunting around the engine and making sure everything is tight and clean.

How do I clear a code p0606 on a kubota mx5200

You have to fix the issue first, and then you clear the code using and OBD11 scanner.

P0629 means there is an issue with the "A" control circuit in the fuel pump often due too bad connectors/wires or a defective CAN bus

P0627 - Fuel Pump 'A' Control Circuit/Open

Possible causes

- Faulty Fuel Pump
- Fuel pump harness is open or shorted
- Fuel pump circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Fuel Pump Relay
- Faulty fuel pump control module (if applicable)

P0606 OBD-II Trouble Code: PCM Processor Fault

What the P0606 code means

The Powertrain Control Module is sometimes referred to as the Power Control Module, or the Engine Control Module (ECM); all of these names mean the same thing. The PCM is responsible for monitoring every aspect of the vehicle's engine and electrical system.

When the vehicle is started up, the PCM will perform a self-check to make sure that all of the engine's components are operating properly. If the result of this self-check indicates that there is a processor fault in the the PCM, it will store the P0606 diagnostic trouble code.

What causes the P0606 code?
•PCM wires that are broken, corroded, and/or frayed
•PCM connectors that are broken, corroded, and/or frayed
•Faulty PCM ground circuits and/or output devices
•Faulty Controller Area Network (CAN) bus communication

My Pontiac vibe 2006 is showing PO6006, PO6007 code does anyone ha be any idea what it means

P0606 , P0607 ! no such codes P06006 or P06007
DTC P0601, P0602, P0603, P0604, P0605, P0606, P0607, P1600, P1621, P1627, P1680, P1681, P1683, or P2610
DTC P0606 Control Module Internal Performance
The DTC P0606 and P2610 set when the powertrain control module (PCM) has determined that the control module has an internal fault. The PCM performs continuous self checks of all internal circuits. There are 2 central processing units (CPU) within the control module. If the outputs from the two CPUs deviates from the standard level, a DTC P0606 sets. The control module has several internal clock or timer circuits. The DTC P2610 diagnostic monitors the internal timer circuit responsible for the ignition OFF operation of the evaporative emission (EVAP) system vacuum leak pump. If the there is an error in the control module timer, a DTC P2610 sets.

P0606 code on 2003 Saturn Vue AWD 2.2l check engine light on

Hi there:
P0606 is a internal computer fault. Sometimes extreme hot or cold weather will screw up a computer.

P0606 - PCM / ECM Processor Fault
This code is a fairly simple one. It basically means that the PCM/ECM (powertrain/engine control module) has detected an internal integrity fault in the PCM. When this code is activated it should store freeze-frame data that helps someone with an advanced code scanning tool to get information on exactly what was going on with the vehicle when the P0606 code was triggered.

Most likely the only symptom of a P0606 DTC code is the illumination of the "Check Engine Light" a.k.a. MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp).

Cause: In all likelyhood the PCM / ECM has failed.

Possible Solutions: As a vehicle owner there is little you can do to fix this code. The most common fix for a P0606 code is to replace the PCM, although in some cases re-flashing the PCM with updated software could possibly fix this. Be sure to check for TSB's on your vehicle (Technical Service Bulletins).

In all likelyhood the fix is to replace the PCM. This is generally not a "do-it-yourself" task, although in some cases it may be. We strongly recommend you have a qualified repair shop / technician do the work, one that has the capability to reprogram the new PCM. Installing the new PCM may involve using special tools to program the vehicle's VIN (vehicle identification number) and/or anti-theft information (PATS, etc.).

NOTE: This repair may be covered under the emissions warranty so be sure to check with your dealer as this may be covered beyond the bumper-to-bumper or powertrain warranty period.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
