Clicking noise around the front end

I have a 2002 V6 sports, its got 90,000 miles on it about135,000 kms. when slowing down to about 50 km/h with out braking and conducting a turn ,like into a round about or street. Theres a clicking noise that has a light tinny sound?.. it is apparent most of the times but it comes a goes?...

i had the problem thought it was comming form the front, i was wrong ,it was the rear and it was the parking brake pads....... found out it had pads when i was changing the rear passenger wheel bearing.

I have the same clicking noise, coming from the rear passenger wheel. After researching it this sounds like a very possible cause. The fact that my parking break does nothing when I engage it (I park on a hill) leads me to think that the loose broken components in the drum brake are clanking around in there making that noise on turns. It also makes a noise like screeching tires because I think it sometimes binds and, when cornering, it messes with the wheel speed and burns a little rubber. I don't know if it was causing the harsh vibrations I was feeling a week ago, which felt like the rumble strip at toll booths or on the edges of highways. I'm going to have it fixed and hope for the best.

SOURCE: noise in front end, sounds

You say the rear wheel axles and bearings have been replaced, you mention nothing of the front wheels, you have the symptoms of a front wheel bearing being worn out, remove them and check for pitting in the bearing rollers or the bearing races, I am sure you will find a problem. Hope this helps solve your issue with the bearing noise.

SOURCE: 2002 ford Ranger 3.0 v6 (auto) rear end noise when accelerating on curves.

Grab the bed of the truck and vigorously rock the vehicle from side to side. If you hear clunking in the axle, you probably need to check the carrier bearings in the differential. I had the carrier bearings, wheel bearings, and seals replaced in my mother-in-law's 1991 Ranger for $280, and it rides like a new truck. Well, ok, it rides like an 18 year old truck with a new rear end. I provided the wheel bearings and seals to the shop, and they provided the carrier bearing, lube, and labor. While the axles are out, check the surface where the axles ride on the bearings. If they are worn, there are undersized bearing available, but it is usually cheaper and easier to just by new axles.

SOURCE: my 2004 ford f150 xlt has a rattiling sound coming

Check the heat shield to the exhaust manifolds, good chance that the bolts on them have rusted off or is loose causing the Heat Shields to rattle making the tinny rattle noise. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to know if that's making the noise, and if not we can look at other things.

Get your brake pads replaced soon. Sounds like to me the squealers are starting to make noise. That is the indication signal to change the brake pads. Depending on how many KMS or MILES that are on your vehicle the drums & rotters may need attention.

Vibration and noise from front end while driving

Jack up the front end and put stands under it and block rear wheels. Look at axle boots and see if they are cracked. Try turning wheel back and forth sharply and see if you can hear any clicking. Problem could be outer axle joints. If the boots are cracked or you hear a clicking noise you will have to replace the axle. The axle and boot come as a complete unit. Please let me know what you find out.
