Can't accelerate above 30 mph.

Have had engine light on for a few months. Bad crank sensor fault. Have replaced this and cam sensor 2x. Yesterday, car started losing speed. Rpms won't go over 3000. Transmission fluid looks good, red. Also reading out bad catalytic converter, but converter looks clear and runs worse when disconnected. What could be causing this?

SOURCE: Transmission shudder

I had a similar problem on my 93 Accord after I accidentally threw the car in reverse at 50 mph, obviously wrecking the transmission. When I got it rebuilt I was told the transmission pump was to blame (clogged with "shrapnel"). I, and your car manual, recommend taking the car in to get the tranny looked at. Especially considering you just had the fluid changed which is what would normally cause the problems you are describing.

SOURCE: engine light keeps coming on, had catalytic converter replaced 2x

a bad or disconnected oxygen sensor will make the engine run rich.
How about a clogged air filter?

SOURCE: RPms increases as im driving or when I let go the accelerator

There are two solenoids on the front of your transmission one controlls the tourqe converter .try tapping them with a screwdriver handle the screens in them might be plugged or you might need to replace them

SOURCE: Vehicle Speed Sensor

Cvt transmission is continuously variable transmission. VSS is vehicle speed sensor. A faulty sensor can make the transmission run erratic.

F150 2006 Ford Truck starts having acceleration problems and backfiring when I go above 30 miles an hour Why?

check fuel supply to the injectors by having a fuel pressure test done on the manifold. Run fault codes and check for cam/crank position sensor fault.

Check engine light and airbag light came on; now car will not start

I have run into this problem a few times where the dealer replacing the sensor and a month later light back on, take car back it may need a program update and sensor may be bad or crank sensor may need replacing.
I would have the code scanned at a local auto parts store and if the code is the cam then take it back to dealer to see what has happened.
The car i was working on had a cam sensor problem, replaced the sensor and light came back with same code. sent to dealer and dealer said after market part was bad, car needed an oem part, so they replaced it and in a few days same problem . took car back and this time they installed a program update and so far so good.

2007 BMW 328i engine shuts off under 10 mph (including when turning) after longer drives

Hi Cade
You are driving a possiable dangerous car as you have said Hazzardous yes, if it stopped on you and your on the Hiway you may have an accident. Therefore my opinion is it maybe your computer, crank and cam sensors, 02 sensors you may have 3 or more, your throttle position sensor or switch, your gas filters, dirty airfilters dealer can read codes and trouble shoot more precise BMW nice car needs maintence. You dont want to take any chances but you can try replacing airfilter gas filter is a good start.

My daughter has a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24. Yesterday, when she was driving it up a hill, the car wouldn't accelerate even when pushing the gas. She stopped and put it in park for a few seconds...

The cavalier 2.4L engine had a problem with the crank sensor intermittently going bad. Sometimes it will run sluggish for a few minutes or even stall but eventually crank back up and run fine. The sensor is about $30 and can be changed in 10mins. It is located directly above the starter.

'04 Sorento, 110,000 mi., shudders faintly when accelerating from a stop. If I take off slowly, no shudder. I drive with 'Snow' on and less shudder. Also, probably unrelated, about 1 month ago I turn...

could be a falling cam sensor or O2 sensor, O2 sensors don't like being cold as it takes longer to heat up and ecu reads it as a fault. cam sensor these fail more when they get hot. dirty MAF/MAP sensor can also affect the engine.
