It's not the clutch, it is the clutch slave cylinder. Check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder and you will see that it will be empty. The problem is the trans has to be removed to replace it.

Your timing is controlled by the computer and cannot be adjusted. No distributor. Unless you have a race car, it doesn't get adjusted.

SOURCE: shrieking clutch 1996 mustang gt

yeah, sounds like the throw out bearing. easy fix . just time consuming. When I put in my racing clutch on my GT , I was so suprised how easy the bearing was to replace. hardest part is taking out the transmission , starter bolts and the top of bell housing bolts were a pain. but once past that, its a breeze.

Manual transmission on 2001 Ford mustang gt with 4.6 not wanting to shift where exactly is the plug at for checking the fluid ?

The adjuster needs to be reset. It should then automatically readjust to provide the proper amount of clutch pedal travel.

How too put my top down on my 1996 ford mustang

The car must be put in park or neutral and the emergency brake applied before you push the power button to lower it. It's a safety feature to prevent people from trying to open or close them while in motion.

I have a 96 ford mustang Gt. When I push the clutch in the car wont start up. I have power and the battery and the fuses are good.

It should have a clutch saftey switch on the clutch pedal. Its a saftey feature simular to a neutral saftey switch it will only allow the engine to crank when the pedal is fully depressed.

1996 Ford Taurus will not start. The car has power and gas.

spark coils are located on top center of the engine under hood. wiggle connections and see if there are any loose. If you can not find the coils, follow the spark plug wires back from the spark plug it will lead to the coil. good luck

My brake resevoir is the same as my clutch..it doesn't leak but I have to pump clutch peddle to shift. What do I do? Is It my clutch plate or what...

The wear on your clutch plate is increasing the distance your actuator piston has to push, so your correct about needing some clutch parts soon.

Lost pressure in gas peddle

Hmmm well to start the pressure in you gas pedal comes from your throttle body, not your spark plugs. Secondly, there is only one cable going to your gas pedal, the other one is your cruise control cable.

Repair your throttle cable, or the spring on your throttle body is broken. it should be a fairly easy thing to fix.

Sounds like a bad clutch to me. Get a new clutch installed and drive easy for the first 500 miles until it breaks in.
