Jump wont work. 80 amp fuse blown under hood. where does fuse go

97 kia sephia. battery dead. jump wont work. The fuse box under the hood has an 80 amp fuse that is blown. We don't have a manual to see what the fuse is too. Is this fuse preventing the jump and what is it too.

That is the alternator and vehicle power supply fuse, did u jump this wrong? u will need to replace this fuse before the car will start.

The 80 amp fuse is the main power fuse, so ... yes that is the problem.

Kia radio no display after jump cable start - fuse not blown

Hi i had sa me issue jump started my kia rio radio display was blank. To fix open your fusebox inside the car Pull out both audio fuses your fuse puller should be in the fuse box under the hood. Yes you have two fuse boxes. One inside you car and one under the hood with your engine. wait few minutes say five... Put the fuse back in. Btw its not neccesary to pull the fuse all the way out. Your radio should show cde error... Now you will need to put in your four digit pin...gluck thanks to the guy on the internet who said pull out the memory fuse... Not that i understood till now.

01 Kia Sephia charging system won't keep car running. Alternator and battery are both good. Is there a fuse that connects the two?

have you tried cleaning the batt terminals and make sure the plug on alt is in and the bolt that holds the one wire is tight in the alt

How do you know when a radio fuse is blown?

the radio won't power up, the clock (if it has one) won't light up.,. otherwise check the fuse box panel... (typically under the hood or near the driver's left side under the dash...)

IS THE BATTERY DEAD? IF SO TRY JUMP STARTING WITH HEAVY DUTY #4 CABLES & STRONG CLAMPS. IF THAT DOESN'T WORK CHECK ALL FUSES IN UNDER THE HOOD FUSE/RELAY BOX.

Radio wont work but fuse not blown

all cars needing a boost will spark. the best advice is to hook up the dead battery first,,, the then the positive cable to your booster battery,, then the negative cable to some part of the car AWAY from the good battery.. you will know when this connection is good.

you said you did the jump start? but nothing? maybe the relay is the problem, did you you see a relay inside the small fuse box? or maybe the carbon brush is empty and need to replace..

97 dodge dakoata main fuse keeps blowing 140 amp fuse

Regulator in alternator obviously faulty, have it bench tested & fixed or replace alternator, and cure your problem.

No power at all. Only head lights work

Ypou have blown the main fuse is held in with two bolt left side of engine compart mentunder a black cover i think is a 60 or 90 amp fuse. hope this helps.
