Head gasket 'blown' on 94 Nissan Cefiro, 2.5L, 24

The head gasket is 'blown' and leaking at the front of the vehicle on a 94 Nissan Cefiro, 2.5L, 24 valve engine. Any idea where to start and if the the timing will be a factor once gasket is replaced and engine re-assembled?.

If you get a haynes repair manual and follow it step by step everything should go fine. or clintons. if you have questions about what its telling you to do then that would be a good thing to ask. the problem is there are alot of different designs for engines and it could be affected and it could not be. but if your not sure you definitly need a repair manual. it would tell you everything but it will guide you in the right direction

I have a 2011 nissan navara d40 but cylinder 2 has no compression still starts but runs really rough just wondering what it could be

No compression means it is leaking out of that cylinder somehow. Is the vehicle doing anything else? Is the exhaust gas thicker or a different colour to normal? Is there oil in the coolant reservoir? Is there a 'mayonnaise' like built up in the oil filler hole? This with the compression loss could be a blown head gasket.
The only places on a diesel it can escape from is head gasket, valve seats, heater plug mounting hole or the piston rings. I would recommend you take it to a good mechanic and ask him to do a "Leak down" test on it. This is where compressed air is forced into each cylinder in turn when it is at Top Dead Centre to find out where it is leaking from. They often set up the test and listen to the engine for the hiss of air.
Air intake hiss - most likely the intake valves,
Exhaust hiss - most likely the exhaust valves,
Oil dip stick hole hiss - Possibly the piston rings.
A blown head gasket could leak from anywhere depending on where on the gasket it has failed.

94 4.3 chevy using water but no water in oil

if its not leaking it externally try a hydrocarbon test. you can buy the tester at auto parts stores. most common external leak points are lower intake gaskets, coolant hose that goes into lower intake on passenger front side of engine behind alternator. the hydrocarbon test will see if exhaust gases are entering the cooling system via a blown head gasket which is also a common problem on the 4.3 litre

Do not know what the problem is, but my check engine light is on? Recently had the oil changed and all fluids are filled up. Put in antifreeze/coolant and it was low within a week, but I found no leaking...

A loss of coolant with no apparent leak more than likely means you have a blown head gasket, cracked head, or both. Coolant entering the combustion chamber can cause a miss and that would set the Check Engine light. STOP driving this vehicle until you can find out for sure. You will destroy this engine if it has a blown head gasket and you continue to drive it. Other symptoms of a blown head gasket are white smoke from the exhaust and an overfull oil level with a white foamy substance on the underside of the oil fill cap. You will also have a sweet smell at the exhaust.

I poured water in my radiator and its coming out the oil dip stick. What does that mean

blown head gasket. do not start the vehicle until this is fixed. running with a blown head gasket can lock up the engine.
