Flashing light I recently bought a 2005 saturn ion. When I went to leave work tonight I turned the key and then I saw this flashing light it looked like a picture of a car with a lock threw it. It seemed like it was some kind of anti theft or security problem because the radio came on and all the dash lights came on but the car didn't even attempt to turn over when I turned the key. I left it for about 10 mins came back and it started right up. Do you know why this would happen. I have no owners manual for the car so I am unsure what the problem was. Thanks

2005 Saturn Ion front passenger turn signal not working

Did you replace the bulb in the passenger side running light/turn signal socket? There are two filaments in that bulb, one for the running light (which you indicate works) and one for the turn signal. If that bulb (filament) is burned out, it will make the turn signal flash faster. I don't know why you were swapping headlights, don't know where the fire box under the hood is, and don't know what a jumper sore is, so can't help you any further. I have a Saturn Ion, and have never found a fire box or jumper sore in it.

I replaced de ignition cilinder key, now my car not start?

you have to have the vehicle programed to the new key. If you try to start it and the security light it flashing, leave the key on until the light shuts off then start the car, It may take a few times but that will program the security computer.

I have a 2005 Saturn Ion with the anti theft light on at all times. the car starts fine but the light won't turn off.

I suggest looking in your owners manual for resetting gauges. I know on a friends honda he had to leave the key in for 10 minutes unattended in the on position and then turn it over and put the car in reverse. Also if you have installed anything aftermarket dealing with electronics this could have upset the security system. The most common cause is a cd player. Hope this helps.

We have replaced the ignition switch in our 2003 saturn ion. How do we reset the passlock?

Leave the key in the on position for 10 minutes until the security light stops flashing. Turn the key off and wait 5 sec. If it starts and dies, leave the key on for 10 min. again. You might have to leave the key on 3 times. While you are doing this have a battery charger on it. If the battery goes dead. (You might have the key on for 30 min if you have to do it 3 times the battery might get low) you will have to start all over.

My Passengers side blinker does not work. it is not the bulb.

if you turn your blinker for passenger side on and if it blinks faster than normally you have a blown bulb

Anti-Theft Immobilizer on my 2003 ION

ok you need to re-learn your passlock. to do this. turn the key all the way to start and leave it on. you will then see the passlock light flashing. let it sit for 10 mins. or until the light stops flashing. then turn the key off and take it out for 30 secs. repeat this 2 more times. after the last 10 min cycle when the light stops flashing. take the key out for at least 1 min. now try to crank the vehc. that should solve your problem. have a great day!

The anti theft thing will come on and prevent starting for a while if it believes it is attempting to be stolen. even something silly like someone bumping it could possibly cause that. now if it does it at your house in a locked garage or something...
