I have a 91 honda civic si. i just got a new timing belt, water pump got the engine rebuilt, new radiator, cold air intake, distributor, plugs and wires. it drove great when i got it but a few hours after first driving it i went to start it and the dashboard lights up and the fans turn on but it wont even turn over. any suggestions?
Have you check the ground wire from your negative wire to battery post? check to see the battery is strong. if it doesn't turn over the engine or crank the engine mean no good ground to the cables. if the car ran fine I dont understand why the car wont crank or turn the motor over it just quit. if the battery check out strong 12 V, starter serenoid may be faulty on your starter or it may be hot and will not turn starter over.

the lights come on is a good sign you have good contact. Is your starter making any sound when you turn the ignition? since your engine wont turn over, check and see if you get 12 volts from your battery, you may not have a good ground. keep in mind, majority of people thing electricity flow from Positive to Negative, is actually the opposite. if you getting 12 volts from your battery than check your sereniod contact to your starter.
