Towing capabilities can my 2006 impala tow a 4,000 lb popup tent camper?

Towing can be dangerous, because it changes the handling characteristics of your tow vehicle. Towing 2000lbs is not the only consideration. You must consider tongue weight, brake assistance and set-up. Something simple like a too heavy tongue can have the effect of lifting your front tires off the road --- not a great prospect when your trying to steer and brake. Things like load-levers are important to consider, especially if you are towing at the higher end of your vehicle\'s capacity. Most towers suggest not exceeding 80% of your vehicle technical tow capacity.



Yes, your \'06 Camry is technically set for 2000 lbs. If you do this, I would change your transmission fluid each year, and if possible, add a transmission cooler.

Not sure what you're asking so:
1999 cherokee has 195 HP, 230 lb ft Torque @ 3000 rpm, and is capable of towing 5,000 lb (2,300 kg).

Sounds like the trailer towing might be a fluke occurance I would say that you Igntion switch may have a burnt contact inside it.I have replace alot of these at my Garage.

2006 Sienna Standard towing specs:

2WD or 4WD: Max Tongue Weight: 200 lbs
Max trailer and cargo weight: 2,000 lbs;
(over 1,000 lbs requires trailer brakes)

Max trailer and cargo weight: 3,500 lbs WITH the factory tow package

the 1500 hd rated tow 10300 lb haul in bed 3129lb but the 4x4 tends to reduce tow capacity by about 200 to 400 lbs

according to the owners amnual the max towing weight for a 1999 ram 1500 quad cab wit automatic transmission is 7600 lb.
with either 5.2 or 5.9 v8. for a reg cab it is 8000 lb.

2000 would be hard on the car. Be sure to get a trailer hitch professionally installed to ensure proper mounting. Also when pulling the trailer do not use over drive, put car in regular drive if possible.

If the scan will narrow down which o2 sensor it is and replace it. If it has more than one on that year that is. Under load you will probable have a richer fuel mix. If the sensor is going going bad it may only get out of spec reading under heavy load and warmer temps. I have had similar issues with GM and it was easily fixed.
