SOURCE: For 2002 BMW 325I a yellow oil light comes on when

The oil light does not show that you need oil necessarily. The oil light goes on when the oil pressure is low, not the oil, so it could be a problem with your oil pump or otherwise. Common that it would go on and off, it it were to stay on for very long you'd lose oil pressure and could be in trouble. Have it looked at.

Good luck!

Diagram on taking apart and putting a bmw 1994 318i automatic transmission

If you are not very experienced with automatic transmissions, dont let this one be the learner. You will need a thousand dollars in speacial tools to get it apart and back together, not counting knowledege and experience that will not come easily. A diagram will not give you the needed tricks to get the job done.

My fiance has a 1999 BMW 528 I, it now requires that you manually shift it from 3rd to the normal driving gear almost 1/2 the time. It is an automatic, what causes that, where can the dip stick be found...

The automatic transmission in a 1999, Series 5 BMW, which is classified as Tiptronic (access to individual Drive positions 1 to 5 is offset toward the Operator, from the P,R,N,D positions), and the transmission is lubricated for its' life; therefore, a dip stick is not available. BMW does NOT recommend shifting the transmission fluid. However, it can be shifted by first draining the old fluid, and then refilling with the recommended fluid level to the fill hole, directly at the transmission itself.

Please could yu tell me where the transmission inspection plate is located on a BMW 318i SE Automatic 1998

What's a transmission inspection plate, and what are you inspecting.

Ok, I'll guess you want to know how to check the transmission fluid? How do I know this.....because I can mind read. I also know this because there's no dipstick of any kind to check the fluid level. So, what else is there you want to check on the transmission. color?--it's silver.

BMW 318i 1999 Model

you could have a faulty sensor or a loose connection to said sensor. your trans control module needs to be checked by a diagnostic scan tool at a shop there they can check the module and see if there is a fault in you drive train. i doubt it's an internal problem with the trans....please rate this....thanks
