For the past few weeks my dashboard lights have been dim but tonight I got in, turned on my headlights, and had no dashboard lights turn on. What could be the issue?
Probably the headlight switch. also check the fuse panel. the dash lights should have their own fuse which if blown could indicate an electrical short.

Have your charging system checked. I had a similar problem with a chrysler van - the lights would brighten and then dim periodically. it turned out to be the battery.

The sound system was causing to much of an unpredictable power usage on the headlights and the fuse has blown as a safety precaution.

Check the earth wires have a good connection and are clean..

Could be a loose or dirty battery connection, poor battery, or alternator. Check all the cables and connections to your starter. Clean your battery posts. Have your alternator and battery checked. It sounds like you are either running off just the battery or just the alternator. One of them is not right.
