I was changing the oil on my moms truck and i noticed what seems to tha the front sway bar has come up off the studs that stick up for the sway bar to fit down onto. i'm afraid to let my mother"67yr" drive as i am concerned about how this will effect the handling. what can i do to resolve this?

hi normally its a 15 mm spanner that goes between the link and the bar to stop it turning while on the opposite side an 18 mm socket is used to undo the nut .

you should put that bushing kit back in you will bounce a lot with out them not safe to drive I think the kit retails for 14-20 bucks! if the old ones are gone that makes it twice a easy to replace hope this helps

Yes you will, and I would check the other suspension parts for wear first, ball joints are a major problem on this vehicles and cause the tires wear.

are you refering to the 5/16" bolt with 4 rubber bushings? 2 on each end? If so, cut them. Everything you need will come in kit. Bolts, bushings and sleeves.
