New battery in it drive around all day come home doesnt charge enough to crank engine specially when weather is cold needs to be jump started to start up it allready blew the module when battery was low and we tried to start the truck and alternator was checked and core rpm2000 everything was fine
, do a simple test on the charging system...check battery voltage. should be 12v or better. start engine & check volts at idle, no accessories on. volts should read 13.5 -14v. Turn on all accessories(including headlamps on high) volts should drop slightly but should not creep down. Definitely not below 12.5. If voltage drops lower than 12.5, the regulator (in the alternator) is not working. either change regulator or change entire alternator. Alternator drive belt should have sufficient tension so that alternator cannot be turned easily by hand. If it can, check belt tensioner.
If the alternator has been checked and found ok it might be the battery terminal connections not making good conntact because they are rusted or loose
or a broken wire from alternator to battery
check voltage at the battery with engine off it should be around 12v then do the same but with engine running voltage should be higher around 15v
Other things to check , belt might be loose
a short somewhere or you are using more juice than what the alternator can produce
