The fuel filter has been integrated into the fuel sending unit in the tank and has been deemed not a serviceable part by dodge.
The fuel filter for 1995 1500 Ram is mounted on top of the fuel pump assembly, which is inside the fuel tank. I've done some checking with some parts places about fuel filter and they also say that fuel filter is "not serviceable". By this, they mean you must replace the entire fuel pump assembly, rather than just replacing the fuel filter by itself. Getting a correct replacement filter appears to be problematic as well, based upon what the parts stores said. I would suggest dropping the tank to have a look at the filter assembly would be your first step. It has to come apart and as such could be cleaned reinstalled, or even carried with you to some auto part stores for possible substitution. Be extra careful of any gasket situation. I checked some online part supply places and exact replacement filters are available. (kl 626 mahle approx. $25 bucks) (e-bay has the entire assembly for $67 bucks) ... Hope this helps you out ..
If you have a gas engine in your Dodge, then the fuel filter is located inside the fuel tank and is a part of the fuel pump module. In theory it is a lifetime filter but should it need replacement the fuel tank would need to be lowered/removed and the pump module replaced. I don't believe you can buy the filter seperately but think it is a part of the fuel pump module. Hope this helps!
Fuel filter is located on the inside frame rail under the drivers door and the fuel filter is located in the gas tank. Start with the simple and change the fuel filter first, but it is common for the fuel pump to burn out when the gas tank has run out of fuel, but since your engine started back up. Good chance that your fuel pump may still be good and your fuel filter may have pick up dirty from the bottom of the gas tank which is causing your engine not to get any fuel.
