Hi all, my car will not start. As I turn the key all lights and usual noises happen but when I try to start the car, nothing happens, doesn't even try and turn over. Any ideas? Thanks
Sounds like you have a weak battery. It doesn't take much power to make all the lights work but you need a lot of current to start the engine. You can test the battery by looking at voltage across the terminals when you try to start the car, if it's less than 12 volts your battery needs to be replaced. If your battery is more than 5 years old it should be replaced anyway. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

You have 2 issue going on. Its not seeing a valid key,and it is starting with the remote.Your remote entry key did it happen to get wet? Or moisture get in? Lock the vehicle up using the key. enter the vehicle using the key fob. After the vehicle unlocks you have 60 seconds to enter the vehicle insert the key in the ignition start it up.Your remote start up is out of step.

Do the dash lights come on ? They should come on when the key is turned to the on position. If nothing happens check the engine relay. It is not too expensive to replace if you really want to eliminate that as the problem. Check all wires going to the starter and make sure it is wired correctly.
SOURCE: car won't start. The dashboard
When you turn the key do all the lights on the dashboard turn OFF? If they do then your battery is too weak. If they don't, and don't even dim much, then your starter is burnt out or you lost connection to your starter due to corroded wiring, blown fuse, or starter relay. One other slight possibility exists where the key switch assembly in the steering collumn is damaged and does not connect the starter wires when the key is turned.
(I'm assuming you don't have an electronic ignition disabler security system).

Starter relay clicks but starter is not turns over. Check the starter connections and starter itself.
Good Luck

Try changing your fuel filter and checking your fuel pressure. Can always try runiing injecter cleaner after new fuel filter put in. Good luck
