1990 Honda Prelude Gear shift sticking

I just bought a 90 Honda Prelude, used. It was fine for the first day, but now the gear shift is sticking every time I try to shift out of Park.I'm having to force it out of Park to get into Reverse or Drive, which i'm sure is not good for the car. I've looked online to see if anyone else has had this problem, and i've heard mention on the shift release lock. Never owning a Honda before, or any car with this feature, i'm not quite sure what this release lock does or how it relates to the problem i'm currently having.

Yo I have a 1990 honda prelude si ,I have an issue with clutch pedal, my clutch pedal seems to stick when depressed it still has good pump pressure but I have to lift it up. Now I live in Idaho and it

The pedal return spring should be checked. Also the pedal bushings where pedal connects to the pedal support up under dash may be worn and not allowing free pedal movement. Work the pedal with your hand and watch the upper mounting of the pedal to see if you can see the problem. I would expect the bushings need replaced. You might try a little light oil where the clutch pedal attaches.

What kind of oil should I use for 1990 honda prelude?

Look on the dip stick itself, the original owners manual or perhaps in the engine compartment you may also find something on one of the numerous stickers there.

FYI: recently I bought oil from a well known auto parts store for a 1992 truck and they did NOT provide the correct information, I found it on the sticker for the engine oil and written on the dip stick for the transmission oil...

Best regards
