Lights come on and when I go to crank it the lights go out and nothing happens. leave the key on and jump the starter and it works just fine. this problem only happens sometimes and the conditions of it doesn't matter.

Next time it won't start turn headlights on and see if they dim when you turn key to start, if they dim its most likely starter, if they don't dim possible starter switch, Have you tried to start it in neutral position? Try that, if it starts in neutral than its park neutral switch, if not could be starter switch, Just make sure you chk. all fuses and any relays associated with ignition first.

Is your security light flashing ?if so you have a problem with the anti theft system.Leave the key on for 10 minutes ,then try this should reset the anti theft system

If the BCM has been replaced, the BCM has to be reprogrammed by a dealer as it control many car functions.

There is a fuse from the ignition switch. There is also a fusible link. Below is a wiring diagram that you can look at and it has the wire colors as well. This I hope will help you narrow down your power loss to the solenoid. It there is a problem with the dash, there is probably no power to the anti theft module in your ignition. The car is in anti theft mode due to not being able to read your key transponder. Basically if it cant read the key, it thinks its being stolen. Either fix the dash lights, or fully bypass the security. All the security info you need is on here including how to bypass it.
