SOURCE: chevy tahoe won't turnover, power

Next time it won't start turn headlights on and see if they dim when you turn key to start, if they dim its most likely starter, if they don't dim possible starter switch, Have you tried to start it in neutral position? Try that, if it starts in neutral than its park neutral switch, if not could be starter switch, Just make sure you chk. all fuses and any relays associated with ignition first.

SOURCE: I have a 95 chevy

There is a fuse from the ignition switch. There is also a fusible link. Below is a wiring diagram that you can look at and it has the wire colors as well. This I hope will help you narrow down your power loss to the solenoid. If you need anymore wiring diagrams for your vehicle I have them all and you are free to email me at [email protected] with what you need. No cost, Being nice cause it's Sunday....LOL Anyway, I hope this helps you and good luck. Here's your diagram

SOURCE: dash dead ,turn key

It there is a problem with the dash, there is probably no power to the anti theft module in your ignition. The car is in anti theft mode due to not being able to read your key transponder. Basically if it cant read the key, it thinks its being stolen. Either fix the dash lights, or fully bypass the security. All the security info you need is on here including how to bypass it.

if yes, you have a good starter. all in 5min work.
we use $5 push button cable to do that, most guys a screw driver jump.

Nissan maxima 3.5 2007wont start the key lights stay on

The most common cause of a non-starting car is the battery. It is either weak, (low voltage) dead, (zero voltage) or has bad connections. (corroded or loose) I will assume you have a fully charged battery with good connections. (both to battery and starter relay)
If you remove the starter switch lead (small wire) from the starter relay and apply +12v from the battery to its respective prong or lead on the relay, and your starter cranks, your starter switch is faulty. (not to be confused with your key switch). If you jump the two large wires together on the relay and it cranks, then the relay is faulty. If you jump the two large wires together and nothing happens, then starter is faulty, or wires to starter are loose or broken. Picture of starter switch prong on the relay is pictured. NOTE: sparks are to be expected, so don't be too scared

My car wont start but has Power

DOES YOUR CAR CRANKS OR IS COMPLETELY DEAD ONLY LIGHTS? IF IT CRANKS AND DOESN'T ENGINE RUN THEN IT IS EITHER THE ALARM ( IMMOBILIZER )SYSTEM ACTIVATED,OR THE IGNITION KEY FAILURE. IF YOU HAVE A SPARE IGNITION KEY TRY AGAIN ( THE KEY TO BE THE ONE WITH CHIP INSIDE ).IF IT IS COMPLETELY DEAD THEN YOU NEED THE ASSISTANCE OF A QUALIFIED PERSON TO DIS ACTIVATE THE ALARM AND CHECK ALSO YOUR SMART KEY AS WELL .

Will not crank but light comes on..

First try to jump start and see what happens, some of these will light up but not crank due to low voltage, if jumping it doesnt work then i would have a look at the starter. have someone hold key in the start postion while you tap on the starter and see if that helps and if car starts then the starter may be bad.

I have a 1001 KIA Spectra GS everything checks out fine Bat.,fuses, connections and wiring, howevre when Itry to start it nothing happens, if I leave the key on and jump the starter it starts right up whats...

Probably your starter solonoid.some starters have them built in on them and some are mounted on the fender wall ,witch would have apower cable running from pos.+ batt. terminal to it then to starter if pos+ batt. cable goes directly to starter it's built in. Or it could be your ignition switch that the key goes into.

The acr would not start. Battery works. I banged

If you banged on the starter motor and it started then you have a stickie bendix drive and solinoid sticking
But if you have to also jump start it as well then do this.....When it wont start before doing anything else turn on the lights and hit the starter and if the lights go dim or go out the battery is no good or you have a short in the eletc ...so take battery lead off for 2 days and if starts you have a SHORTin the eletrics

Won't start

I would start by checking all the fuses, whether they are related or not. Also try swapping around relays, they are usually the same size/style. Also can you hear anything, the click from the starter, or anything else when you try to start. If you don't hear anything and feel like getting under the car you could bypass the starting system and manual jump the starter. Put car in park, take a piece of electrical wire, get to where you have access to the starter wires and use the wire to jump from the smaller wire to the big cable. They will be on two different terminals on the starter. By careful not to be around and pulleys/belts as the engine may crank. Leave the key off and the engine should crank. if it dosen't you have a problem with the starter. If it does crank you have a problem in the control circuit ie key switch, fuses, relays, etc.
