Have high fuel consumption on my fiesta 1.4 fuel injection.11 lt/100km. car runs smooth.

high fuel consumption Petrus, sticking E brake, poor gas, tune up needed, lazy O2 sensor,
leaking injectors, driving habits, etc. all can cause more fuel consumption. Have it scanned to help determine cause.

My toyota 7k efi manual transmission.i changed oil filter, air cleaner spark plugs the fuel consumption is very high.than it was at the begining fuel consumption was 15km/pr litre, its now 9km/litre.

check for codes and data readings. check O2 sensor readings, is the thermostat tired and not working properly, this can cause high fuel consumption. take a close look at who and how the car is being driven.

Lancer 2000 mx efi high fuel consumption

1. Check if the ECU is throwing any error codes.

Could be
2. O2 sensor(s) or/and clogged Cat converter
3. Dirty air cleaner
4. leaking injectors
5. Worn or broken rings: check the wet and dry compression.
Might even be the ECU itself, running in "limp" mode because of a partial board failure.

My Hyundai 1999 model CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON AND THE FUEL CONSUMPTION IS HIGH.

Do you have black smoke or what looks like soot coming out of the tail pipe. The check engine light monitors fuel pressure through the computer and pressure regulator. It will come on if the pump pressure is too high or too low. If the pressure regulator is faulty it could cause excessive fuel consumption,

How can I repair high fuel consumption problem in my car? Will the change of fuel filter make fuel consumption better and solve this problem?

what motor do u have in the car , there are only a small number of things you can do to help this , a good tune up , K&N air filter , headers ,good tires with proper air . make the car lighter depending on the size of your motor these are the main things you can but if you have a big block motor in yout car , get another car , if you have a 4 cyl already , you really are getting good milage per gallon , get a bike if you are a cheap skate

typical maintenance. (check the manual)

1. check air in tires
2. oil and oil filter change

My 2000 model Nissan Sentra Ex saloon has high fuel consumption. What could be the cause?

The air filter will affect mileage if it hasn't been changed in a while. The injectors may be sending too much fuel either from wear or a map sensor problem.

Very high fuel consumption on a nissan vannete cargo 1996 45 liters for 350 kilometres is it normal ?

For sure the fuel consumption if very high specially if you are a moderate driver and do not drive at very high RPM. Now the possible areas to check must be the fuel pump calibration and the timing. If this is out of order/settings then the fuel can be wasted without utilization which can result in high consumption.

FUEL CONSUMPTION

The fuel consumption sounds about right for a turbo, perhaps a little high. Hwy consumption depends on how you drive. If you cruise at 100 kph, you should get around 8 L/ 100km. Round town, about 10 L / 100km.
