I have put 2 new CPS and 2 new coils on my jeep and it runs great for a while, now engine shuts off randomly and I have to pull the key out to restart, sometimes the check engine light blinks and the car jumps and power loss both happen often. Could it be the catalytic converter or poor aftermarket coil and CPS purchases. Frustrated!

It might be helpfull to know the codes of the "check engine"lite but it seems the PCM is the issue,be sure the O2 sensors were the correct ones and which dealer made the recall? an used-car one or a Chrysler one?if no solution, you should go to a chrysler/jeep dealer and talk to solve this because it is a recall involved and they should repair your SUV at no cost no matter the miles on the odo!.buena suerte!

You should have someone sing a dual trace lab scope, look at the Crank Angle Sensor (CKP) and Cam Angle Sensor (CMP) signals to check quality and sync.
Loose timing chains or broken flex plates can change the sync signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and cause a stall situation.
Also you should have someone load test the battery and check the cables for corrosion. If the battery drops excessively during startup, the idle motor stepper count can be lost, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) will relearn it while driving.
Clean the throttle blades and adjust minimum idle.
With the air cleaner assembly off, hold the throttle wide open and look down the throttle with a flash light. Look at the lower intake plenum gasket for leaks, oil will build up around the edges and in the corners.
Perform distributor sync adjustment. I hope this helps. tried my best.....
